Unusual Identification of Explosive
نویسنده
چکیده
Sir,?In the September issue, 1935, of your esteemed journal it has been mentioned, on page 506, by Dr. N. J. Vazifdar, that after a bomb explosion 'arsenic' enters into the system through the wound and also by inhalation of arsenuretted hydrogen which is evolved in the explosion. A bomb of the type under discussion explodes due to the interaction of sulphide of arsenic with an oxidizing agent such as 'potassium chlorate' and there is no likelihood, under the circumstances, of any trace of arsenuretted hydrogen being formed. It is not arsenuretted hydrogen, but ' oxide of arsenic' in gaseous state or in solid state of very fine subdivision, which is formed as a result of explosion, enters into the system.?Yours, etc.,

An unusual necrotic myositis by Clostridium perfringens in a German Shepherd dog: A clinical report, bacteriological and molecular identification
Clostridial myositis, considered to be rare in pet animals, is an acutely fatal toxaemic condition. Some species of clostridia are responsible for necrotic myositis. A 2-year-old male German shepherd dog was admitted with non-weight bearing lameness and massive swelling of the left hind limb. Clostridium perfringens type A with alpha toxin was diagnosed as a pathogenic agent. Based on ...
متن کاملSharp large deviations for the non-stationary Ornstein-Uhlenbeck process
For the Ornstein-Uhlenbeck process, the asymptotic behavior of the maximum likelihood estimator of the drift parameter is totally different in the stable, unstable, and explosive cases. Notwithstanding of this trichotomy, we investigate sharp large deviation principles for this estimator in the three situations. In the explosive case, we exhibit a very unusual rate function with a shaped flat v...
متن کاملInvestigation of the effect of explosive welding variables on the corrosion behavior of the joint of two explosive layers of 5000 series copper-copper sheets
In the present study, the corrosion behavior and microstructural changes of 5000 series aluminum and copper sheets after the explosive welding process have been investigated. Explosive welding is performed with a fixed stop interval and change of explosive load. Dynamic potential polarization tests and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, light microscopy, and scanning electron microscopy we...

متن کاملA new approach to predict of mechanical properties at the interface of Aluminium/Copper explosive cladding by explosive scarf welding
Abstract: The purpose of this study is to produce scarf joint through explosive welding process (EXW). The scarf weld is a process in which the final bond interface is oblique. With applying the explosive welding technique, this joint can create a metallic bond between similar or dissimilar metals. In this study, chamfered end of aluminum and copper plates were joined explosively and named scar...
